On one faithful summer day, Sabrina was extremely bored and had too much time on her hands. Already having read a ton of books she decided to try out blogging. She produced Beyond the Book Reviews and took on the persona of Library Luv as her blogging name.

Since then she has been blogging for over a year and reviews mainly YA book with the occasional NA. Sabrina has had many wonderful authors guest appear on her blog for interviews. However, not only does she interview authors, but she has submersed herself in the blogging community by interviewing bloggers as well.

This month of September we get to celebrate all kinds of Canadian authors through this lovely blog and idea Jamie created. Since each of us got to generally pick who we wanted to write about, a few names came to mind. Lena Coakley being the first.

The first time I saw one of Lena’s book was back at my junior high schools’ book fair. It was her first book, the beautiful blue one known as Witchlanders. I remember wanting it really bad, but I could only choose one and evidently I ended up choosing the other book. It wasn’t until a couple years later that I actually got to pick up it. Witchlanders was a fantasy novel that had to do with two strong bloodlines. One involves witches known as Witchlanders, the other involving sirens of a sort known as Baen.

WORLDS OF INK AND SHADOW

Author: Lena Coakley
Source: ARC via the Publisher
Publisher: Harper Collins Canada
Publication Date: January 5, 2016
Rating: 4/5 stars

Summary:
Charlotte, Branwell, Emily, and Anne. The Brontë siblings have always been inseparable. After all, nothing can bond four siblings quite like life in an isolated parsonage out on the moors. Their vivid imaginations lend them escape from their strict upbringing, actually transporting them into their created worlds: the glittering Verdopolis and the romantic and melancholy Gondal. But at what price? As Branwell begins to slip into madness and the sisters feel their real lives slipping away, they must weigh the cost of their powerful imaginations, even as their characters—the brooding Rogue and dashing Duke of Zamorna—refuse to let them go.

Gorgeously written and based on the Brontës’ juvenilia, Worlds of Ink & Shadow brings to life one of history’s most celebrated literary families.

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was really excited to sign up for this tour and be able to read and review this book because I love the Bront
ës. I don't have an intimate knowledge of their lives, but I know enough that even without the author's note at the end, I knew what was happening. Although, I would suggest reading that first if you are unsure about the lives of the Brontës because it gives you just that much more information to make some of the details fall into place throughout the novel.
