Who better than himself to show her the ropes of letting loose?

Sure, taking her to her first high school party, helping her sneak out of the house, or watching a sunset together isn’t exactly a hardship, but much harder is masking his feelings the more time they spend together. And when he suggests adding “a first date” to Kylie’s plan and she accepts…suddenly all his dreams seem to be coming true.

But Leo’s got a secret that could change everything between them, and it’s only a matter of time before it comes to the surface.

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and chose to review it. This in no way impacts my opinion.

I so enjoyed this book. The plot, the romance, the pacing. Everything about it was just wonderful to me. I liked seeing how everything evolved and I was angry (in a good way) and how the main conflict played out. If you want a good contemporary romance novel with a bit of angst, this is the book for you.

My Favorite “Fakeship” Stories

Best friends Georgie and Will are in a “fakeship” in my new book The Sweetheart Sham. These are some of my favorite stories with fake relationships…

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

I adore this whole series, especially the final one, but this opener is solid: drama, sisterhood, happy moments and romance. Lara Jean writes love letters to her crushes but instead of sending them, she locks them away safely where no one can see them. Until they do. And all you really need to know about this book is two words: Peter Kavinsky.

Open Road Summer by Emery Lord

Imagine being besties with Taylor Swift (pre-“Red”) and going on tour with her only to fall for the boy on her tour who she has to pretend to be with…and then you have to pretend that you don’t have any of those feelings for him, all while paparazzi chases y’all around for a summer. This book is a great read with heavy ties to friendship, and in true Emery Lord fashion, excellent romance.

Entangled Teen Sci-Fi Sale: THE BOOK OF IVY by Amy Engel

The Book of Ivy by Amy Engel
The Book of Ivy Review Quotes:
“Well-developed characters and intricate world-building combined with complex relationships, political corruption, and betrayal, leave readers begging for the second book in this series.” —School Library Journal

“I enjoyed this novel so much that I polished it off in two sittings. There is no insta-love! There is no love triangle! Best of all, the protagonist actually has common sense, and she uses it! The slow-to-develop relationship is believable, and both Ivy and Bishop are easy to relate to. Waiting anxiously for Book 2!” —Julie at Magna Mania Cafe

“Thought-provoking, poignant, and sexy! Readers will burn the midnight oil to finish The Book of Ivy and fall asleep with the name Bishop Lattimer on their lips.” —Regina at Mel, Erin and Regina Read-A-Lot

Entangled (Spellbound #1) by Nikki Jefford

Goodreads Synopsis
Two months after dying, seventeen-year-old witch Graylee Perez wakes up in her twin sister Charlene’s body.

Until Gray finds a way back inside her own body, she’s stuck being Charlene every twenty-hour hours. Her sister has left precise instructions on how Gray should dress and behave. Looking like a prep isn’t half as bad as hanging out with Charlene’s snotty friends and gropey boyfriend.

The “normals” of McKinley High might be quick to write her behavior off as post-traumatic stress, but warlock Raj McKenna is the only person who suspects Gray has returned from the dead.

Now Gray has to solve the mystery of her death and resurrection and disentangle herself from Charlene’s body before she disappears for good.
