Summary:
The bestselling novel about love, loss and hope from the twice Carnegie Medal-winning Patrick Ness.

Conor has the same dream every night, ever since his mother first fell ill, ever since she started the treatments that don't quite seem to be working. But tonight is different. Tonight, when he wakes, there's a visitor at his window. It's ancient, elemental, a force of nature. And it wants the most dangerous thing of all from Conor. It wants the truth.

Patrick Ness takes the final idea of the late, award-winning writer Siobhan Dowd and weaves an extraordinary and heartbreaking tale of mischief, healing and above all, the courage it takes to survive.

This was so good and so heartbreaking. I probably shouldn't have listened to it on the train into work because now I'm a MESS. But highly recommend this one!

It was beautifully written, pulled on all the heart strings, and holds onto your mind, body, and soul while explaining that sometimes you have to accept your truths, even if they are hard ones to wrap your mind around.

I had no expectations going into this one (because I had seen people talk about it, had heard about Ness's books, and knew there was a movie but hadn't like read about this one specifically), but it was an Audible Daily Deal so I scooped it up. And I'm so glad I did.

I am completely speechless about how breathtaking and beautiful it is. I think everyone should read this, especially if they have dealt with grief and loss. This helped me process through emotions I didn't know I had and made it so I could come to terms with what I needed in my life.

I definitely recommend this one, especially the audio if you have a chance to pick it up that way. It added a layer to the novel that was so deep and wonderful.

Have you read this one? What was your favourite part?
