Third Sentence Thursday (5): June 11, 2015
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Vol. 1 by John Vornholt, Arthur Byron Cover, and Alice Henderson
I was supposed to have this one done last week for my #TBRTakedown, but I am still chugging away at it. School has been really busy and I am not getting as much reading done as I would like. Hopefully I can catch up on the weekend! Without further ado, here are three third sentences from the first volume in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer novels!(1) "He fumbled with the buttons, couldn't get them open, and ended up ripping the shirt off his own back. Then he grinned stupidly at her." p. 77
(2) "Buffy sighed. 'I shouldn't have broken into that trailer -- I know it now -- but love makes you do silly things!'" p.108
(3) "The face on it seemed to be laughing at her." p. 148
These are all from the first story in this collection, "Coyote Moon"! I didn't want to get myself too far ahead because I haven't gotten past page 80. I am really enjoying this one though and if you are a fan of the television show, I would suggest picking this one up. Although it is super hard to come by!

Buffy is the Chosen One.
In Coyote Moon, a typical night at the carnival becomes deadly as shape shifters turn the amusement park into their own house of horrors.
Buffy starts having past-life nightmares in Night of the Living Rerun, and must face her historic counterpart before the events of the past repeat in the present.
In Portal through Time, Slayers over the centuries are in danger, and Buffy must protect them in order to save her own life and legacy
