Summary:
Jack Ellison King. King of Almost.

He almost made valedictorian.

He almost made varsity.

He almost got the girl . . .

When Jack and Kate meet at a party, bonding until sunrise over their mutual love of Froot Loops and their favorite flicks, Jack knows he’s falling—hard. Soon she’s meeting his best friends, Jillian and Franny, and Kate wins them over as easily as she did Jack. Jack’s curse of almost is finally over.

But this love story is . . . complicated. It is an almost happily ever after. Because Kate dies. And their story should end there. Yet Kate’s death sends Jack back to the beginning, the moment they first meet, and Kate’s there again. Beautiful, radiant Kate. Healthy, happy, and charming as ever. Jack isn’t sure if he’s losing his mind. Still, if he has a chance to prevent Kate’s death, he’ll take it. Even if that means believing in time travel. However, Jack will learn that his actions are not without consequences. And when one choice turns deadly for someone else close to him, he has to figure out what he’s willing to do—and let go—to save the people he loves.

This was SUCH a cute contemporary novel. I loved the way it made me feel, the characters, and the rewind aspect. It was the perfect way to tell the story and there wasn't too much repetition that dragged it down. I am so excited that this will be a movie and I can't wait to watch Jack and Kate on the big screen!

I loved every single character in this one. Jack was the perfect protagonist and I loved how he felt like he wasn't ever enough, but that he didn't really let this stop him. I was so invested in his relationship with Kate and how it would turn out. I was glad that it wasn't quite insta-love, but that Jack got to learn to love Kate in a few different ways. And while he remembered all the different ways, I am so glad with the way that it ended up.

I would have liked to see a few more of the rewinds than what we got because I would have liked to see some funny antics as well. I thought that there was a good mix of awkward and angst in the majority of these; however, there was not a lot of funny in them. There were inside jokes and funny moments, but there weren't funny antics to "solve" the problem at hand. I think it needed a few funny antics to lighten it up a bit and make the rewinds a little more interesting.

This was so great though!!! I loved it and I highly recommend it. If you liked THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, you will love this one!
