For the Lit Love October box, I got the mystery book option - it was a completely separate book from the options you can choose from. I ended up with THE MATCHMAKER'S GIFT by Lynda Cohen Loigman!
I liked that all the items inside of the box were useable or consumable because it felt like there would be no waste with it. I look forward to making the bread (!!!) that was included with the box and cozying up with it and a bottle of beer.
It did take a little longer than 3-5 days - and didn't get shipped out on the 10th. But those are just small hiccups that don't really matter!
Right now, even though the book was $40, I'm not sure it's worth being a full month subscriber. Since you can go month-to-month, and choose your book, it might be more worthwhile to select the months you want based on the books since it comes with a hefty price tag.
I am subscribed for a one time box in November as well, so I will compare the two and let you know if I change my mind about subscribing.
