It's Over, But Not Forgotten: #FAC16

02 August 4 Comments
Even though it feels like #FAC16 is never ending since I think about it in my daily life, it sadly has come to an end. I did a recap of the first chat, the Science Fiction/Fantasy/Historical Fiction chat, the Contemporary/Mystery/Thriller chat, and the final chat. But in case you think that is too much to read, I am going to give you a fun break down here of what happened over the last month.

Again, the lovely ladies who hosted the event, giveaway, and chats are wonderful. KristenNicola, and Rachel rock, and lucky me, I get to work with Nicola some more as her co-blogger for Queen of the Bookshelves

Last Stop: #FAC16

26 July 0 Comments
Guys, today was the last #FAC16 and I am pretty heartbroken about it! I loved talking with all the debut authors about their novels that are coming out soon and making new friends. I am sure that you all have read my first three posts about the chat, but I will leave them here: First Chat, SciFi/Fantasy Chat, Contemporary/Mystery/Thrillers Chat. Today was a bit more on the fun side with the authors answering the questions as their main characters, which was interesting to me. So this post is actually going to be a wrap up of just this chat and then next Sunday, when I am sad because I don't have anyone to chat with, I will do my complete overview of #FAC16 and what I am excited to read next year!
Recap
First things first, I want to start by saying I absolutely adore KristenNicola, and Rachel for hosting this and giving these authors a chance to highlight and sell their books to the masses. A huge "You guys rock!" to them. I only wish to be as awesome as the three of you at some point in my life. I am going to give you guys a quick rundown of the chat and I am going to do my best to feature every author that participated!

There were ELEVEN questions answered by the authors as their main characters; I will try to feature every author/main character here, but if I do not, chances are it is because there are SO MANY questions and answers and it was hard to get them all. Feel free to scroll through my favourites on Twitter to read all my favourite answers and see about these glorious books!

Round Three: #FAC16

19 July 2 Comments
Last week was the #FAC16 chat for Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Historical Fiction novels. You can see my post about that one here. This week's chat was all about the Contemporary, Mystery, and Thriller novels and gosh it was so exciting! This post is going to be just as long as the last one, with answers to burning questions via Tweets, and at the end I'm going to tell you which books I made sure I ordered right away! (I keep telling myself that because I haven't spent the money yet it isn't the same as spending too much money on books right now)

Top 20: #FAC16

Coming out of the whirlwind that was the Twitter Chat for "Fledgling Authors Chat 2016" as hosted by Rachel, Kristen, and Nicola, I have a lot of feelings -- and so does my wallet. I had a great time and talked to a lot of amazing authors, so here is a list of the Top 20 books I will FOR SURE be checking out next year (these are listed in no particular order)! You can check out Rachel's blog for a complete list of all the books and authors who participated or try and scroll through the #fac2016 tag on Twitter!

All of these link to the book on Goodreads and the description of them are based on the author's answer to "Describe your book in five words" that was part of the chat! There will be a picture of the cover of the book with it if there is a picture of the cover up on Goodreads.
