Hello Rivets,
It is by and large time for me to address you all as a group. After the unfortunate accident that took the life of my predecessor, Vicar Maybell, I stepped up to the challenge that the Dragon Queen put forward. She threatened — I mean, asked me very nicely — to run the Rivets to the best of my ability and I hope I have been doing so (or else I may end up like Vicar Maybell). When the Dragon Queen put forward the preposition to be the Vicar, I knew I would be able to meet the demands of eating, sleeping, breathing, and living the words of the Rivets: Tooled for Tomorrow.
I have some concerns and compliments today. First and foremost, today is the one month anniversary of my Vicar appointment and I want to express my undying gratitude to the Dragon Queen for choosing me and not yet killing and replacing me.
My concern is that we have been losing too many initiates in the clockwork guild hall. People are lost in the labyrinth type structure, probably stuck between cogs, and wishing to come back to us. If anyone has any suggestions for how to find these initiates, please let me know. I was thinking a quasi-human detector that could flush out those who are trapped and pinpoint their exact location. If someone would like to take on this task, please let me know.
One of your own has brought to my attention that the system for managing access to Rivet schematics and technology has been outdated. I will be looking for nominations of those who you think would be best suited to create a new system that would work perfectly both inside our Guild and for the Guilds on the outside —those Revolvers seem to have a shoot first, ask questions later policy, so anything that will make it easier for them to use, and therefore safer for us to distribute, would be greatly appreciated.
I wish to compliment you all on the wonderful work you have done over this past month and a bit. We have worked our way high up on the Guild spectrum and have unlocked a numerous amount of rewards for all of our resources. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work and effort you have put into your tweets, instagram posts, and blog posts. If you continue to work hard, your efforts will be greatly rewarded. Remember that I need a link and a screenshot of each completed task sent to vicar.rivet@gmail.com. Not sure what qualifies as a task? Here is a handy chart:
We have had some new recruits these past couple of weeks and I am ever grateful to those of you who are in the Guild and always recruiting more. When I was a young’un trying to determine which Guild to choose, I thought “Where can I make the most difference in our world of Loom?” For me, that was in the Rivets where we constantly are coming up with new ideas and technology to advance Loom to new heights (although not as high as where the Dragons are in Nova). Being a Rivet is about thinking outside the box and looking for new ways to improve upon life for yourself and everyone else around you. I hope the new Initiates feel the same way and are being welcomed into the throes of the Rivets Guild.
If you are still deciding which Guild to join, might I recommend the Rivets? We are open-minded, ever expanding, and always looking for bright young minds to ensure the world of Loom is making progress and moving forward. To join us, please become a member here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RivetsGuild/ so that we can count you toward our growing Guild numbers.
Rivets I look forward to working with you on new projects and answering any questions you may have about our Guild, the world of Loom, or what my favourite ice cream is at this link https://www.facebook.com/events/1135798156457984/ any time between 1:00pm EDT and 2:00pm EDT. I will be posting a fun colouring exercise at 11:00am EDT and we will have a gallery of our completed works at 7:00pm EDT.
Don't forget that on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 at 11:00pm EDT you can join in on the next instalment of the #LoomChat on Twitter. Remember that if 10 members join in on the chat, we gain 1 resource; if 20 members join, we gain 3 resources. Last time we had 17, so let's aim for 22! That's just 5 more people!
The rest of this Tribunal will feature the other Guilds and their Vicars. On Tuesday, hear from the Harvesters Vicar about how they bring in all the natural resources; Wednesday, hear from the Alchemists Vicar about the process of implants; Thursday, hear from the Ravens about getting lost in the Underground (and we think the clockwork labyrinth is bad!), and; Friday, hear from the Revolvers about what makes them spark! You can also ask their Vicars anything about their Guild, the world of Loom, and what their favourite ice cream is as well on their selected days on the Facebook event page. Remember that there will be giveaways and fun discussions throughout the week so participate as much as you can!
But for now, pick up your wrenches and get back to work!

THE ALCHEMISTS OF LOOM
Author: Elise KovaSeries: The Loom Saga #1

Summary:
Her vengeance. His vision.
Ari lost everything she once loved when the Five Guilds’ resistance fell to the Dragon King. Now, she uses her unparalleled gift for clockwork machinery in tandem with notoriously unscrupulous morals to contribute to a thriving underground organ market. There isn’t a place on Loom that is secure from the engineer turned thief, and her magical talents are sold to the highest bidder as long as the job defies their Dragon oppressors.
Cvareh would do anything to see his sister usurp the Dragon King and sit on the throne. His family’s house has endured the shame of being the lowest rung in the Dragons’ society for far too long. The Alchemist Guild, down on Loom, may just hold the key to putting his kin in power, if Cvareh can get to them before the Dragon King’s assassins.
When Ari stumbles upon a wounded Cvareh, she sees an opportunity to slaughter an enemy and make a profit off his corpse. But the Dragon sees an opportunity to navigate Loom with the best person to get him where he wants to go.
He offers her the one thing Ari can’t refuse: A wish of her greatest desire, if she brings him to the Alchemists of Loom.

Ravens Guild
Spread Our Wings. If life isn’t moving full-throttle then it’s not for you. You move at nearly suicidal speed in all your decisions, but you’re utterly confident while doing it. Just as you’re never lost geographically, you’re also never lost in your purpose in life. It’s the journey, not the destination, and you’re determined to have a good ride along the way.

Alchemists Guild
Be the Crucible. The world is one great experiment, and you’re merely the observer. As an Alchemist, you study the natural order of things, but you do not embrace it, you challenge it. You know the delicacy of life better than most and yet you’re still willing to take chances with it. You have iron-clad nerves and are an expert at detaching yourself from emotions as needed for your many questionable experiments.

Tooled for Tomorrow. You are the engineer of dreams, the craftsman of large buildings and tiny clockwork alike. No one sees the world like you do, for you look between what is there to find what is possible. However, that doesn’t mean you give into lofty fantasy. You are firmly rooted in reality and work with what you are given without complaint. You build the foundations upon which great ideas are erected, as you see more value in being the hard-working cornerstone than the elegant facade.

Harvesters Guild
Sow and Reap. You are the great collector. There is no stone un-turned and no stretch of land that isn’t yours to lay claim. You take and take, not always because you should, but always because you can. “Too much” isn’t in your vocabulary and it doesn’t matter how you get what you want, as long as it’s yours when the day is done.

Revolvers Guild
Be the Spark. There are two types of people in the world: those with the courage to pull the trigger, and those who are too afraid to pick up the gun. You are unequivocally the former. Great minerals are found by blasting through the dirt. Darkness can be kept at bay with a single spark. While your head is filled with explosions, your feet are firmly on the ground as you understand that someone else may have to pay for every decision you make.
