Subscription Box #Review: OWLCRATE May 2018!

I love surprises and subscription boxes so I decided to buy a few different ones and then review them for you guys because why not! So you will get to see a few different subscription box reviews!

Just so everyone knows, I live in Canada, so the prices and such that I am going to talk about are in Canadian Dollars and shipping times are Canadian since they ship it out of Vancouver, British Columbia.

The OwlCrate website!

Every month. They also offer an OwlCrate Jr. box for MG and younger books if you don't get enough with the regular OwlCrate box.

Monthly: $29.99 USD
Every Three Months: $86.98 USD
Every Six Months: $167.94 USD

Plus shipping, which for me, cost $10.59 USD

I just looked at my credit card statement and it cost me $51.96 Canadian. Which is a BIT expensive for me but I am making money now so it's all good.

I got the email notification on a Monday and I got the box on a Thursday. Very quick turnaround time. I was very impressed.

The ordering process is simple. Choose your box, put in your shipping address, and boom! Plus you can pay with PayPal which makes it super convenient and easy.

The book of this month was ... two books! The first is CATCHING STARS by Cayla Keenan and the second is SKY IN THE DEEP by Adrienne Young! There was also:

  • An exclusive enamel pin from Out of Print;
  • Double-sided tassel bookmark inspide by THE WRATH AND THE DAWN and FLAME IN THE MIST by Renee Ahdieh from Indigo Eleven;
  • A wall hanging inspired by A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES by Sarah J. Maas;
  • A CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE bath bomb by Whipped Up Wonderful (which was SO SO SO relaxing), and;
  • An Art print by Melanie Bourgeois inspired by Inej from SIX OF CROWS by Leigh Bardugo!

I am so obsessed with the OwlCrate box so I let my subscription renew and probably will continue to do so. I love the items inside and the fact that the book has an exclusive cover! It is a little pricey, especially since the shipping is so much!, but I think the fact that everything is an exclusive to this box makes it worthwhile. I am going to keep my subscription going for sure!

Do you purchase subscription boxes? Are you going to check this one out?
